Church service
Admission: Free
In 1612, the first Anglican church services were held in Hamburg with permission from the Hamburg Senate – an unprecedented religious freedom at the time. This makes the Anglican Church in Hamburg one of the oldest in mainland Europe. We invite you to celebrate 400 years of Anglican worship in Hamburg with us, The Bishop of Gibraltar and the congregation of St Thomas Becket Anglican Church, in a festive service:
We would be delighted to extend a welcome and share this special event with everyone who takes an interest in our church and its work in Hamburg. Do join us for refreshments after the service!
