Sometimes elegant, sometimes rough, sometimes courtly and sometimes firy, and occasionally all of the above, at once! Canadian baroque flutist, Brian Berryman, gives us a view into the traditional music likely known and heard by early congregants of the English church in Hamburg.  An unusual combination of baroque pieces based on traditional folk songs, paired with traditional Irish and Scottish folk sets from the inns of the 18th century and the pubs of today.

One of the most sought after traverso artists of the early music scene in Germany, Brian Berryman can frequently be heard in concerts and recordings of renowned ensembles, such as The Amsterdam Baroque Orchestra, Barockorchester Stuttgart, Concerto Köln and the FestspielOrchester Göttingen. ‘Brian ist auch gelegentlich bei Folk-Sessions in den Irish Pubs in Hannover zu hören, was seinen Terminkalender leider nicht so oft zulässt, wie er es möchte…‘
